# How to launch a Performance-Survey?

Launching a survey distributes it to participants. The launch process has four steps:

1. **Survey Type**
   
     - **Peer Review (360/180/90)** – Evaluated users receive feedback from reviewers and can also complete a self-assessment.
     - **Self-Evaluation** – Employees complete only their own self-assessments.
2. **Participants**
   
     - **Peer Review**: Select a ready **Peer List** template to define evaluated users and their reviewers.
       
           - If no Peer List exists, create one before proceeding. Read the article here to understand how to create a Peer List.
           - Decide whether evaluated users will also complete self-assessments (enabled by default).
     - **Self-Evaluation**: Choose individual employees to participate (searchable and filterable list).
3. **Details**
   
     - Add a **Survey Title** (mandatory).
     - Set **Start and End Dates** (mandatory).
     - Configure **Notifications** (launch, reminders, last day).
       
           - Customize messages per language if multiple languages are used.
4. **Summary**
   
     - Review all settings and click **Launch** to start the survey.
